Anyone who was impressed with the ‘Little Kelpies’ when they came to Kelso recently, could not fail to enjoy the sight of the real thing – they are gigantic. With the help of Bill Birch, a fun image was taken of our mid July visit to the Kelpies. Eighteen Clovenfords residents went to visit the Kelpies and then on to the Falkirk Wheel, where we embarked on two Seagull Trust trip boats. We were taken up on the wheel, under the Antonine Wall, and cruised along the Union Canal to their base in Falkirk. A super day out and thanks to Peter Birch for his safe driving.
